Welcome to the Stonor website and welcome to our home. For over 850 years my family, the Stonors, have lived at Stonor. For many of hundreds of years, particularly since the persecution of Catholics from the sixteenth century until the penal laws were lifted in 1829, we have welcomed visitors to the Chapel.

For nearly 30 years now, following extensive repairs, we have been able to share the house at Stonor as well as the Chapel with as many people as possible to ensure its survival for future generations. To that end we not only open the house, chapel and garden but we also have events in the beautiful park and elsewhere, including wedding receptions. The Chapel is of course available for Catholic weddings.
