TIMINGS | GROUP VISITS | ADMISSION | DIRECTIONS | PLANNING YOUR VISIT | WHERE TO STAY
We have been
welcoming private groups and coach parties to Stonor
for over thirty years and they have become
one of our specialities. They can be arranged either
as private guided tours on days when the house is
normally closed or when we are open to the public.
Many groups make a day of coming here, typically
with a morning tour of the House, lunch, time in
the gardens and possibly ending with tea. The House
tour takes approximately 1hour 30 minutes. Many groups add an
additional visit to the award winning River and
Rowing Museum in Henley-on-Thames, a boat trip
on the River Thames with Hobbs of Henley or a visit to another of the nearby historic houses.
A private guided
tour is available at the price of £9.00
per person on Tuesday-Thursday, April to September
for a minimum of 20 people and a maximum of 55. On
days and at times when we are open to the general
public the charge is £8.00 per person, when
you can stroll at your own pace through the house,
gardens, chapel, shop and tea room.
Our Tea Room is not available for private groups unless pre arranged.

As the house is a collection of medieval buildings behind a Georgian facade, it is not suitable for wheelchairs as even the ground floor is not on one level. However, everyone's disability is individual and there are chairs at intervals for a visitor to rest. To see the first floor there are flights of stairs - one up and another down.
