Depending on your numbers there are various locations in which to host your Wedding Reception. We have a list of preferred partners.
In order to preseve the land, and as we only do a limited number of wedding receptions during the summer months, it is important to book early.
Croquet Lawn
This area can host marquees for a capacity of 120 seated guests, with space for a dance floor and
reception area. For a reception only, 150 guests
may be accommodated.
Front
Lawn
Here, there is ample space for larger marquees
accommodating up to 500 guests.
Both sites provide
wonderful opportunities for stunning photographs.
The Walled Italianate garden behind the house may be used for photographs by separate arrangement.
The Old Hall and Gothic Hall
These may be used for smaller receptions with a maximum of 50 guests. With its minstrels gallery and grand fireplace, The Gothic hall, brightly decorated in the fashionable style of 1760s 'Strawberry Hill Gothic', is an ideal location for a champagne reception. This can be followed by either a seated or buffet style wedding lunch or dinner in The Old Hall, the oldest part of the house.
Long Galley and Formal Garden
It is also possible, on occasions, to host a champagne reception for smaller numbers in the magnificent formal gardens at the rear of the house or in the Long Gallery on the first floor. |
