Mud & Guts Workshops

Mud and Guts will be back at Stonor Park on Thursday 15th and Friday 16th August!

Mud & Guts is an outdoor adventure company for children. Based in Wiltshire they have been teaching children how to build shelters, light fires and not get lost in the woods for eight years.

We will be running two sessions, one from 10am-12noon for 5-7 year-olds and one from 1pm-4pm for ages 8+, although ages can be flexible.

The afternoon sessions will be themed:

Thursday 15th : Knife skills & whittling - Children will be shown how to use knives responsibly & all their different uses.    Participants will need to bring their own knives.
Friday 16th :  Dens & Shelters - Children will be taught various den building types & technique’s.
Saturday 17th : Fire lighting & Cooking - Children will be shown how to light & manage a fire & cook flat breads.

At all sessions troops will be entertained with games (capture the flag, 'camo' hide n’ seek, manhunt) quizzes and bushcraft challenges such as den building, fire lighting & whittling & navigation and tracking skills.  Sessions will be different on each day.

All we ask is that children are suitably dressed in loose comfortable clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty, wear trainers (not wellies) and come with their own 1 litre water bottle. We will do the rest...

Wonder Woods, our adventure playground, will be open from 10am until 5pm on both days.  Wonder Woods requires a separate ticket which can be purchased here, book online in advance to receive 10% off (must be booked by midnight the day before your visit).
