Personally designed by William and Ailsa Stonor based on their own experiences of travelling the world and camping in some of the remotest places on earth, these beautiful drovers’ huts are the latest chapter in their family’s long history with the wool trade.

In the heart of the Chilterns, just an hour from London, Stonor Park has been home to the Stonor family for over 850 years, making it one of the oldest family homes still lived in today. As the oldest member of the Stonor family, Stonor Park has a thousand stories to tell and is proud host to this year’s BBC1 Antiques Roadshow.
You’re guaranteed a delightful stay in this traditional black tin drover’s hut, which is named for its stunning interiors made from a Redwood tree felled in Stonor Park. Inspired by trips made by Ailsa and William through the giant Redwood forests of California, it’s beautifully finished with fabrics by Bennison and has a climb-in king size bed.
Finished with luxurious fittings and thoughtful details, the surprise of this beautiful oak cabin is its handcrafted oak four-poster bed – a soothing place to curl up after a day of adventures. Like Redwood Quercus is insulated with sheep’s’ wool, has an en suite bathroom with power shower and flushing loo.
